Adinkra Pro
Symbol typeface family developed in collaboration with type design division, AKOFAType.
With a very strong basis in tradition and ancient iconography, the Adinkra Pro family brings a fresh perspective to the time-honored symbols of West Africa.

Not only is the Pro family a brand new Adinkra symbol font, but it is a comprehensive typeface family with adjustments to all 66 original symbols. With the addition of patterns for backgrounds and borders as well as the programming power of OpenType, Adinkra Pro provides new design options at the click of a mouse.

Choose Adinkra Calabash for the hand-hewn quality found in African art, Adinkra FineFine for a clearer and more contemporary look or Adinkra WantaWanta to achieve a wax print/batik-like effect that adds a certain touch of West African authenticity to any project.

Although they were initially created to be used separately, each of the members of the Adinkra Pro family were incorporated into Adinkra Pro GoudouhGoudouh (pronounced Go-dough Go-Dough). This latest member of the Adinkra Pro family uses OpenType to give users the almost limitless power to switch between Calabash, FineFine and WantaWanta at a mouse click.
