St. Jude Children's Hospital
"Marlo" Typeface
Display typeface developed in collaboration with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for promotional collateral material.
Ask any type designer about creating a typeface that mimics handwriting and they may tell you that it is both the most incredibly fun design exercise and also the most unyieldingly challenging.

This experience was what we and the team at AKOFAType discovered when we were asked to develop the typeface STJ Marlo for direct marketing projects based on the handwriting samples of Marlo Thomas, celebrity spokesperson and National Outreach Director for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital based in Memphis, Tennessee.
